Default Driver'* side wiper issue

Hey, everyone, I have a little issue with the driver'* side wiper in my '03 Malibu. When they're in use, the driver'* side wiper hits the underside edge of the hood. I checked to see if the arm is loose where it mounts, and, it isn't, so, I'm not sure what else to look at. If anyone has any info on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

My parent'* 2009 Impala does the same thing.. I'm interested to see the solution. It seems like the spring in the arm wears and doesn't hold the wiper as tight to the windshield as it should.

That could be....not sure. I'm going to try and remove the wiper arm, and, reposition it to see if that helps. Otherwise, I'm going to have to head out to the boneyard again to find another one...

Make sure the right and left arms are on the correct side.I have seen this happen before when a repair is done. They will work with some minor issue.Find another and compare the shape for each side is different
