Default AH, F@#$!!!

Got a call from the shop, turns out my low oil pressure problem is MAJOR problem!!
Something is hurt bad internally, and they need to replace THE ENTIRE MOTOR
So they call the warranty company, and they have NOTHING ON FILE
Turns out when the dealer sold me the warranty, they missed checking a little box that says HIGH MILEAGE VEHICLE COVERAGE :? :? :?
So now I have NO WARRANTY!!!
Oh, don't worry, the dealer'* GONNA eat the cost of this little F@#$-UP!!!
If he tries to dick ME again, he'* gonna find out what f@#$ing with a Dalton gets him!
I'll go straight to the Attorney-General'* Office!! On top of that I'll call the local TV station'* consumer protection hotline, see how he like a little free publicity!!
Car-dealers who screw people should be careful who they screw, some people FIGHT BACK!!!
They don't say I'm evil for no reason.

This is coming from GMGoodwrench, the F'in' Gospel!!

Internal problem, non-diagnose-able w/out a complete tear-down. :?

Tear-down and repair, probably cost as much or more than a new motor, so I'll go with the shop on this one and get a new motor. Besides, even with a rebuild, no guarantee they got everything, and this way I'll have a fresh motor to start with when I go to do mods!

Still, massive F@#$in' hassle, and I'm driving my Dad'* F@#$in' gas-hog mule of a '97 Chevy for a while DELIVERING PIZZAS!!! There go my tips for a while

Oh BTW, it looks like the dealer isn't going to put up much of a fight about paying for repairs, we'll see what happens.

Ville, you have my thoughts pacing, how much for a brand new 3800? I always thought they were around $3,500 or so? supercharged I imagine are a little more? I know an engine re-build should be about the same as a transmission re-build.

What does it matter if the dealership pays for it? I'd say get a new motor and stick it to them. Sorry to hear about the problem Brian (I got that right, right?). Hope they treat you right....What dealership is this?

Trunk Car Co. on Indianola near Cooke, in Columbus

The place doing the work is Dennis Pontiac/GMGoodwrench

Trunk wants a second opinion, as if a Pontiac dealer isn't going to know how to deal with an L67 :?

Todd, you ever hear of Hughes Automotive, on E. Main? that'* where Trunk wants me to take it for said "second opinion" :?: :?:

Dennis pissed me off, they always try to gouge me on things. Lately i've been going to Jack Maxton GM Dealership on 161 out past 71. They do pretty good work and only caught them once trying to charge me for uneeded items (out like 10 times, i think they learned). There shop is open until midnight m-f also so they get more work in and get your car back faster.

If Hughes comes back with a different answer than Dennis I guess I'll take it up to Maxton then.

BTW, yeah you got my name right, Todd, look at the first line of my sig
