I won't matter what speakers you get ! If you keep the stock location you won't get proper imaging ! In each door do you have 2 speakers or just one ?

I have jl audio xr series 5.25'* w/ 1 inch tweeter. they are awesome. They fit perfect all u need is a lil super glue to make sure the tweeter stays in place the woofer fits perfectly. and the cross over fits nicely inside the door too. but if your going to upgrade your door speakers i would suggest gettinga mp3/cdplayer if you havent already.

I went with Rockford Fosgate 5 1/4 compont speakers. They went in fairly easy. I like the sound too. Matches my Rockford head unit too!

I used a dremel kit for the hole'* ! I must warn you , your not supposed to separate the tweeter and mid-range speaker by that much , but , I liked it like that better ! I'm sure that position sounds better than the stock location ! Sounds alot clearer too!

Actually we used a hand jigsaw and we cut the holes in 10 minutes. Those speakers are Powerbase Components, they are $30 dollars for 6.5 Components that handle 75RMS/150Watts Max. They are a new brand that a friend of mine wanted me to try out so he gave me a set for cheap. New company and these things kick *** for the price. They are up to par with more expensive components. Quite amazing actually, I thought they would suck but I do believe it now. The website for their speakers is
http://www.powerbaseusa.net. I can get more of these Powerbase components, they also have Subs, 6x9'*, everything. Apparently they are coming out with an extreme line soon but my friend can get me a pair of them now. I think I should. Also I put the components outside the doors for more bass since the cubic volume of where the speakers reside in the door is perfect size for the mid range speaker. Ah math, so much it can do.
