Default Question about power window frozen

I think this is common during the winter season for all of us. If we trigger the power window button when actually the window is frozen firmly to the frame, what would happen? Is there any protection circuit that can protect the window motor by cutting off the power immediately?
I m curious about the design.

On some cars, the base will actually pull away. I don't believe ours will do that . If the window is frozen on a Bonneville the windows just won't move and you should take your finger off the button so you don't burn up the motor.

there is a self resetting relay but yeah you would have to defrost your door or take the panel off to see whats up.
