Maybe being more defensive could help.
You were close enough that she was able to get you w/o you blaring the horn. I've avoided a couple intellectuals trying to hit me with the horn and a little extra distance.
Nothing is idiot proof... they'll find and get you no matter what.. but you still need to live your life. Glad you weren't hurt.

That sucks!! I hope you got her insurance information. Usually insurance companies require a police report especially since she backed into you. Who'* to say she won't say you tapped her rear?
When Jeff & I got rearended we didn't move the car at all. I scared the poor kid because I was having a bad day already and then that happened. I got out saying "What the hell?" Once I realized it was just a kid I tried to be nice. His dad decided to pay out of his own pocket.
Good luck!!

I got pissed off when I found a white dent in teh green paint of the passenger door of my 93. The utter disregard for other people'* property is disgusting.
My 96 however has so many dents in the doors it doesn't matter if a new one is made. Apparently the previous owner bought his wife a Saturn Vue SUV and everytime she parked next to the 96 she probably swung the door really hard to open it. Dents everywhere. Yea its her car but at one time it cost them 30k. Typically when you buy things that costs that much you should take care of them. Says alot about people'* responsibility when they cant even take care even of their own cars.
