Spoiler option for '95 88?
Got bored so packed up tools and headed to local pick a part (AKA, man mall). Headed to GM section with nothing particular in mind that I needed. Spied the familiar grille of a '95 88, same color as mine. Trotted down the aisle to see what might strike my fancy. '95 88 Royale with a hard hit to the passenger side. Series II, NA. Bench seats. Made my way to the rear and there was a spoiler on the trunk lid. This wasn't one of those erector set, gaudy things so prevalent on many tuna cans. Color matched, low profile, matching the contours of the deck lid. Wiring to the led light looked stock down to the weather pack connector. Unbolted it and dropped $30 for it. Information molded on the bottom lead me to contact the manufacturer to see if there was any chance to get another LED brake light for it as the one in it was toasted. Yes, they did make it for the GM Oldsmobile division and no, they didn't have the brake light available (later found a replacement online). Four carefully drilled holes later and some splicing into the OEM third brake light, I have a rather spiffy, if not rare spoiler my "grandpa car". I had never seen a OEM spoiler on a Olds 88 or 98. Thinking maybe it was a option on a LSS? Whatever the circumstances on how it ended on a base model, it looks good on my rig and I am enjoying the nimble, Porsche like handling it has given my lead sled

Interesting. I've certainly never seen that option on an Eighty-Eight or an LSS. I have a Bonneville spoiler that I seriously considered bolting onto my last LSS but never got around to it. Not sure how it would have looked. I agree with Mike though; I'd like to see a photo of it.
