Default Disabling DRL on 2000+

So, I'm contemplating doing this. First a question. If I do this, will it have any effect on my automatic headlights? Like will they still come by themselves at night and when the wipers are on?

If those will still work just fine I'll do it. What do I need to do?

no it will not affect the auto headlights but you will lose your perimitter lighting in the front with the keyless entry i have a spare jumper wire if you want it i made 2 just in case everything will work the same les the from perimitter lighting and the DRL'* will be gone

Well the parking lights will still flash when you unlock it along with the reverse lights coming on, just no DRL flash

Mine is the opposite. Check out my thread. My parking lights flash, but no head lights flash when i disabled my drl. But I didn't do the 30 to 87 jumper as it didn't work on my 2000 se. I just ended up doing the 86 to 87. weird but i got a pic up on the new thread i made today.

Oh I thought you meant what happened as a result not the pins, I think I did it the same way as the writeup but I don't remember

This was a very helpful article on the drl disable procedure! BUT THE NUMBERS ARE NOT 30 AND 87 FOR THE JUMPER WIRE. THEY ARE 86 AND 87. I'm not making a big deal, but it should be changed. The picture shows the wires in # 86 and 87, and I double checked on the bottom of my relay maybe he just had the relay upside down, no biggie. I just happened to go back after actually trying 30 and 87 with no luck and i figured it out on my own that its actually 86 and 87 and then saw his wires hooked up to 86 and 87. lol Well I found out the words were wrong lol. The picture posted below is from another member on here and thanks for it, it is correct.
