Changed Thermostat...leaking coolant ?
Tonight i bought a 195 since it is freezing cold, so i changed it, the car steemed for a while, i shut the car off, went inside, then about 4 hours later i went on a Wendys run about 5 minutes after i left i could smell this overpowering burning smell, could of swore it was plastic melting or wire insulation, i opend the hood, there was smoke all over, comming from the thermostat housing...i let it site for a while comming to the conclusion its just coolant burning off. once i got to wendys i opend the hood, left the car running and sure enough it leaking out around the hose at the housing, the hose is not pressuring up a whole lot either,
So tomorrow, im getting a new hose and crimps, if thats what it is.
I also checked the top pressure relief valve, its snugged down, and not leaking...
Also, its a new housing gasket in there.

The rubber ring is a MUST use item...along with the gasket...it could also be possible that you have a hole/crack in the hose itself...they usually won't show up until the block is hot...sometimes the c-clamp will bite into the hose...inspect the hose for cracks...bend it to and fro...ATTENTION crack can be miniscule..so look carefully...ps..sometimes you can just cut off above the crack and be on your way...

yep the hose must of been cracked, i went out today, bought a new hose and clamps.
No leaks now, and my thermostat never came with a rubber o-ring, nor did the 180 that i had in there OR the original 195 that was in there when i bought the car..no problems..
The hose was leaking out at the hosuing pretty fast, all over the exhause manifold, it STUNK for a long time!
Car warms up fast now though!
Ohh and also, my Low Coolant Light works!
