tryin to figure out how much u put in ur gas tank to fill up make a trip from chicago to carbondale about 350 miles??? any ideas?

18 gallon tank. Figure 1.70 a gallon... = $30.00 or so to fill up (assuming completely empty at fill up).

Trip should take you about 15 gallons (assuming 22 mpg).

Do we really have an 18gal tank? I thought it was around 15.

18 gallon and you should be able to make it there on a little more than half of a tank. i can make from corinth, MS to West Point, MS and back + driving around for a while down there which all in all averages about 389 miles on about little less than 3/4 tank, but im not */C like you are.

Long hwy trips...= great economy, Smellbird called me, he is getting 30 mpg...so don't sell your car short

Yes, when cruising at an average speed of 65 mph on the interstate, you should really, Really, REALLY get well over 25 mpg.
