About these L27 L67 stuff
Is there a (lack of better way of saying it) a spec sheet that says this year is a L27 and That year is a Lsoming or other and this is a L67 and so on.
Mainly would like to know is the 95SE just called a seres I or does it also have this L designation.

You're 95 SESC is series I L67. In 96 ALL 3800'* were Series II (including N/A and SC).
The "L" is just GM'* naming of our engine'*.
Examples:
L27 = 92-94 Naturally Aspirated Engines
L36 = 95-present Naturally Aspirated Engines
L67 = any supercharged 3800 including Series I and Series II
(Series II supercharged engines started in 96).
Hope this helps clear some things up.

L27: 92-94 N/A 3800'* (Series I) (Vin L)
L36: 95-03 N/A 3800'* (Series II) (Vin K)
L67: 92-03 Supercharged 3800'* (Series I & II) (Vin 1)
L26: 04 N/A 3800'* (Series III) (Vin ??)
L32: 04 Supercharged 3800'* (Series III) (Vin ??)
Every engine made by GM has a designation like that. For instance, the 3.4 DOHC Engine is an LQ1 (Vin X), the Gen. II 3.1 is an LHO (Vin T), the Gen III 3100 is an L82 (Vin M), the Gen. II Turbo 3.1 is an LG5 (Vin V), and so on and so fourth.
