Shouldn't judge people like that, just because of an email. Rules are important as that way you know exactly where you stand. As for the rejection notices, well if the group was dissolved, you already have your answer on why it was sent!
I'm sure deathrat didn't mean anything by it either. He sounds like he'* just trying get all people on the same page as himself.
Besides reading past posts here, he (deathrat) seems not that bad of a person since he seemed to give out advice quite freely here. I say cut the guy some slack!
