Default Now THAT was embarassing.......

Out in the parking lot at work, swapping in my old 105amp spare alternator (that my Boss just brought in for me....I'd loaned it to him), and I hear a voice from behind me saying "This is classic. Hanging over your engine in the parking lot with a lit cigarette."

My BOSS'* BOSS. Thank GOD Jeannie has a good sense of humor and was totally distracted by my engine. She didn't utter a peep about working on the car in the lot (strictly forbidden by hp), but probably also because it was Obvious my boss knew I was going to, since he brought my spare alt in to work this morning.

She walked away chuckling. Low-fat Alternator for lunch. And not a word about my work tools spread all over my engine.

You HAVE seen me doing that. Both of you. The only difference this time is that I didn't have any beer!

I would guess that the beer is also forbidden?

I thought you always need a beer when you work on cars Bill.
I didn't think you function right w/o one.

I had to rush the job so the brain couldn't figure out it wasn't being impaired. 5 minute Alternator swap was the result.

It didn't work. I have the jitters now.

10 more minutes and I'll be home, drinkin' beer and pissin' foam.
