Default Convert to DOT 5.1 brake fluid

Anyone change (or think of changing) from DOT 3 or 4 fluid to DOT 5.1 fluid? Been doing some reading and the reports suggest that DOT 5.1 is a solid upgrade, can mix with DOT 3 or 4, and it'* lifespan is 2 to 3 times that of DOT 3,

DOT 5 It may last longer in some application yet, it is a completely different make-up then traditional brake fluid. I would recommend sticking with DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid as that is what the GM recommends.

Dot 5 is silicone and is not compatible with DOT 3, 4 or 5.1

DOT 5.1 is compatible with DOT 3 &4. I have checked Wal-Mart and AutoZOne- neither stock DOT 5.1.
