Default Simple HUD help....

My HUD display shows the speed in KMH.. but how can I change it to MPH, and back and forth ?? The reason is that I have to go down to the States from time to time.. and it would be nice if the HUD shows miles when I"m down there.. just so I can tell if I"m speeding... or .... well.... speeding too fast.

At the same place that the brightness and height adustment is there should be a small push button. This button will switch back and forth from mph to kmh.

I couldn't locate any switches or buttons around the dimmer height adjustment for the HUD. All there is is just the Dimmer adjuster and height adjuster..

Here is what mine looks like. You can see the button below the right lever. If yours doesn't have this than you may not be able to switch it. :?

In the 97-99 models - in both the US and Canadian flavors - GM changed the HUD adjustment switch to a newer design that does not include the english/metric button. Seems like a step backward feature-wise. I'm not sure if you can replace the adjuster with one from a 92-96... according to the parts list I have, they changed the actual HUD display unit in 97 as well.

Do you have any other trip computer/display on your car? If you do, see if there is an English/Metric button there. I have one button on my 2002 that changes everything: speedo, HUD, gauges, etc.
