Default Code 44

I was trying to adjust my headlights tonight and while in the process I figured I would leave my car running so I wouldn't run the battery dead. Well after adjusting them I got back in the car and noticed the Service engine soon light was on. Well I shut the car back off and restarted it and the light went off and hasn't came back on yet. Well I decided to scan my car for codes. I came up with a code 44 which is a lean oxygen sensor. Well I just had my sensor replaced about 15,000 miles ago. It'* a bosch sensor. Ya I know but this time I will use an AC Delco one. What would cause my car to have earlier oxygen sensor failure. The original one lasted 150.000 miles. Any thoughts on this?
