Yeah I do feel bad for him but seeing as the same time he bought it was the same time the salvage title was issued I think he was in on it. Well now comes the question on if its worth the money. I've checked 15 cars now including my own and a potential buy for my mom and only found 2 that actually had accident histories and one of them knew it. So far the odds are 1 in 15 that paying for carfax is going to be worth it to you and that could spread more as the search goes on. There are a few "Odometer rollback" potentials but again, I think the people just spit out a number when asked. Hell I do it too, as long as its not really important. Generally I'm closer than 98,000 miles off though!

Thanks, thats what I tought. I was wondering if it would have a rebuilt title. When I wrecked it, the insurance gave me as much as they could and let me keep the car, car value - 13%. They never saw the title, I thought they declared it totaled. That was in August 02. Or might it take some time to show up? I haven't recieved a different title.
