Years ago, there is a joint venture between Mits and Chrysler, called DSM (the Diamond Star Motor, Diamond and Star are badges of Mits and old Dodge). DSM produces Mits Eclipse, Eagle Talon, and Dodge Laser.

Plymouth Laser, but you are right about the connection that exists between the two companies. Plus there were Mitsu engines in Dodge Avengers, some others I'm sure.

Right you are jon, and the only reason it won't suck is because Ford didn't do any of the engineering on it. Once we finished design, they agreed (after dragging their feet on the subject for a LONG time) to cover half of the developmental costs.

worked out well for them, cause they're going to get a very nice tranny out of the deal, and the way it was announced (gm will likely never admit what I said above), it looks like Ford actually worked with GM on it...

and yeah, i'm with the audi/vw thing.

And in case there were any q'* left about GM, here'* a round-up:

GM is / has been

Buick
Cadillac
Chevrolet
Geo
GMC
Hummer
Oldsmobile
Pontiac
Saab
Saturn

Overseas:
Vauxhaul
Opel
Holden

<edit> and as has been mentioned, we've worked with... honda, toyota, ford, subaru, blah blah blah blah blah blah...

the automotive industry makes for some interesting bed partners...
