Ok so I finally was able to get my camera to take a picture of my trunk. I noticed this not too too long ago when I was replacing my tail light bulbs and tinting them.

I just wanted to know if this is normal in every bonne car or not at all.

my car has it too.

i assumed it was the result of failed attempts to fix the infamous "water leak"

my 04 SE didnt have it, but the 02 SSEi does.

most have it from the factory. I brought it up at a meet once and I believe all 2000+'* there had it.

Mmmm....pookie.

It'* body and seam sealer. Nothing to be worried about. I would worry if you saw stress cracks in the mix though.

I agree, its just seam sealer. Albeit liberally applied but still just seam sealer nonetheless.

I second this because it'* truly liberally pasted all over my 94'* trunk, and it'* painted so well that it hasn't chipped yet. Not as far as I know, and I have no trunk carpeting!

I haven't checked yet on the SLE, but I'm sure it'* probably the same. Probably not as much rust, though.

I had this in my '02 SE and it'* in my '04 GXP. This is quite normal and part of regular production.
