Shocks and Struts again
Ok, I have a question about these. i read Will'* write up on it, and about the Monroe Reflex Shocks. I also started looking the Koni struts on Domestic Performance. My questions are as follows:
Which would offer better cost and performance benefits? I want to make the car handle a lot better and not hugely concerned about ride comfort. I have found a Monroe by me that said they could get me the Reflex Struts for $150 each, which is Higher than Will'* listed cost. Also when I was looking at Koni, all other websites I found said they didn't make them for our cars, but DP has them. Anyone know why this is? I am also considering in the next year the DP Lowering springs at 1.5 in, if this makes a difference. So here are the choices
Koni ~$800 after core return
Pro - Replaces all 4, Better performance
Con - Unsure if application specific, Cost
Monroe Reflex - ~$300
Pro - Cost for performance, Keep ELC,
Con - Only rears, price seems high for product, discontinued.
Monroe Sensatrac - ~$180
Pro - Cost
Con - Only rear, Not as high of performance.
So what would people recommend?

I would say that if you want to drop it 1.5 with DP springs, get the Monroes, and then when you drop it just adjust the ELC arm and you can keep The ELC functioning

I went with the Sensatracs for the fronts in the 93. I was going to get the Reflex but no one had them in stock and they were double the price. Not bad for handling but I still thing my 90 handles a bit better. Even with what might be the stock struts.
I believe KYB has 92-99 Bonneville applications without the ELC. I have no personal experience with these but the buzz is good.
