Default se to ssei exhaust

Some users are going with the flowmaster and magnaflow mufflers that are made for the camero/firebird, the people at the local exhaust shop said i be better off going with the stock ssei muffler if i wanted the dual exhaust look. I asked about performance and they said the ssei muffler is a little more free flowing.I have a 99 se,with one outlet. They said this was the easy and a direct fit.I ordered ractive wide oval tips (stainless) try to get a pic when done.Has anyone one else done this? :?:

i doubt it. i hope your not getting the exhaust from GM, it'* probably a little spendy. are you just replacing the muffler, or enlarging the whole tubing? I have a 94 SE and have 2.25 inch tubing, while the SSEi of that year had 2.5 i believe. I bought my muffler and tips for less than $150, and got a great sound and some performance out of it. I'm just not exactly sure what you're looking for MORE.

No gm muffler to much$$$$$ , midas is ordering a stock muffler. My tailpipe is rusting so they said go with a new muffler.I asked about the flowmasters and others and they said it would be to loud and annoying. At first i thought they were just trying to sell there owner muffler and i asked about the "Ravin" performance mufflers and again i got the same response.I dont think ill gain any performance but apperance wise it should look better with the two tips out the back. Your pics are awsome! karin

Loud and annoying is opinions really. If its the performance increase that you want, upgrading to a better muffler will do that.

What is the definition of annoying? V6'* are to big to produce a raspy farty noise Have a listen to this. http://www.jonathaneger.com/bonneville.htm

There is an audio clip at the top right side of the page. My system is a cat back exhaust, high flow cat to a Magnaflow muffler...no resonator or glass pack. Just to give you an idea of what is possible.
