I have a base model 01 camaro (but I didnt swap electrics and engine out of a 95 corvette, but before I did that is had a cracked v6 lol. (the v6 comes stock on base model) must be because of the heavyer car...

I live in a place that has a 3 lane wide highway connecting 2 towns 6km apart, in the middle theres a stop light (why who knows, the towns are builting towards each other so it mite just be a sign of stuff to come)

I was going home and I was driving the trofeo I had to stop at the light Then a late model camaro can up beside me. I thought *screwed* I took him on. We even talked while the light was red, but he didnt say if he had a v6 or not. looked like a 5 speed, which mite have slowed him down. Light turned Green, I slid her into drive (do you guys keep it in OD while racing?) gave half throttle waited for rpms to rise, then floored it. *he had me off the line* almost a car length, Then I hit second gear...

going almost 50km I cought him then at 85 I hit 3rd then took off, hit 120 then shifted into OD, cought 175km/h before I hit town, 3km later... I didnt pull the rpms after I knew I had him cooked but 175 seemed to be a good cruising speed no one was out anyway. passed a few people. (lol speed limit is 80km)
I hate to see a speeding ticket for that.
Then I talked to the guy a bit more and ask him if he wanted to race my camaro, but when I told him it had a lt1 he said f*** no, I assume it was the v6 camaro. Or just a kid that would have his insurance company have his *** if he got a ticket for street racing.

But yaeh this tall geared car isnt much in the world of burn out comps. It will hit some serous speeds.

Yeah I love that high gearing. By the time my car is shifting out of second(86mph) almost everyone else is going to fourth. One way to get some car lengths, have gearing that allows you to stay in gear longer than the other guy!
