Day one with the bonneville....
I just got my bonnie back after waiting over a week for a new fuel pump, sending unit, and lines. Well, I'm driving around town and everything is perfect, fresh tank of gas, car wash, and a lovely lady in the passenger seat. Cut to me driving down the highway, stuck between cars doing 70, guess who'* lane has a pallet in it? If you said mine, you'd be correct, i couldn't swerve and it was too late to hit the brakes when i saw it (11pm=dark). BUMP BUMP, I pull off at the next exit to check my tires, they're fine, but the puddle of gas under the car indicates a different problem.....Whatever i ran over smacked the gas lines, thus the cause of the leak. Less than 12 hours with the bonnie and shes gotta go back to the shop. Lucky me.

i can relate! when i bought my new Bonneville. i couldnt drive it for about a week because i bought it with "one" bad brake line which turned into all the brakelines were bad. after replacing all of em. and bleeding the brakes twice i was still only getting front brakes. then i pull into the parking lot at AA and my shift linkage fell apart. i paid for a month of insurance and drove it for like 4 days.

Devin;
Many people are killed every year across the US due to road debris and unsecured loads. This had all the earmarks of ending as a tragedy, rather than a nuisance.
Glad you and your lady are okay!

no body damage, but the bracket the lines were running through is pretty much done for. Thanks for the concern guys, it means a lot. She should be all fixed up and ready to go this afternoon.
