sort of pre series 1. had a icm/coils in one unit and said sequential port injection on it. pretty cool for the time. my mom'* olds cierra brougham wagon had this engine too, it was pretty quick for the time when most where driving stuff that still had carbs

Cool car! I think I recall seeing one of those around. We have a customer with a Cadillac Allante that comes in for service. It looks to be about the same size as that.

To be precise, the first 3 years came with the LN3, and Wikipedia states the 1991 got the L27 (series 1 NA, essentially a LN3 they fiddled with a bit)

I don't call ancient until LQ3 or before myself

Dropping anything into it would for sure involve replacing the transaxle? One of my brother-in-laws has a red Reatta . He keeps bugging me about what he can do to "soup it up" Being he is a Lutheran Minister without much mechanical experience I keep telling him to just enjoy it... He told me about the touchscreen and I was WTH???
