bike rack...
Hi,
anyone know where i can find a bike rack for my 03 bonny?
I've just done a little searching and so far I've found trunk mount and hitch mount racks, but would really want to get a roof mounted rack for two bikes.
any ideas?
thanks,

Wouldn't a roof mounted bike rack, if available, mean drilling holes in the roof? :? And would you be willing to do that if that were the case?
I'm not familiar with bike racks for cars so I may be wrong on the drilling part.

I have no idea about the drilling part, and if that'* the case it'* out of the question, but its my new favorite car and I like to bike... so having the two together would be awesome.
Thanks for the reply,

I think roof mount racks some how clamp on or something. Not sure. You won't do one of the cheapo kinds that just kind of strap on to the trunk? Like this one?

I tried looking around but I couldn't find any definitive answers. It does appear that roof mount racks do not screw in, but somehow clamp like i thought. I did see a mnetion of a "tool loss" one, but couldn't find any info on it.
No prob

Most of the roof-racks that don't permanently install use strap, pads, and hooks that can scuff and scratch paint, dent body panels, and crush weather-stripping. The best Type of rack for a car is the hitch rack. You don't have weight resting on body panels, and you don't take chances of pads/straps/hooks scratching paint, and you don't have to unload the bikes just to get stuff out of the trunk.
