I am really thinking about, no I AM going to get another Bonneville soon enough but I am baffled. I always wanted to get the 96-99 SSEi in black like my 97 SSE, but there is something about the '00 series that has been calling my name as well. I think its because of one of my club members car got stolen, he had an SSE 91 I think was the year, and came up with a 2000 silver SSEi LOADED! No 12 disc CD changer, but its tight!. My color regardless what body it will be is going to be black. I just need some help deciding. I would like something newer but a 2001 is as high as I would go if purchased. The 97 is as low as I would go if purchased. Thanx for your help.

If I were you, I would get a newer one. You will have less miles on it. Also, I think that body style is just amazing.

I'd go with the newer one too, if I had the $$. I love the look. But I love the 96-99 style too. And black makes any car look even better! (unless it'* rice)

As an owner of (2) 2000 SSEi'* I'm very biased towards to the new models. My father however had a 96 SSEi so I know both models. I think the stylishness of the modern Bonneville really sets it apart on the road, however the 2003'* changed the front fascia and im not sure I like them. However you go just be sure YOUR happy with it and not based on someone else'* opinion.

THats just it, I don't mind the opinions. I like both of the cars. I had an SSE 97 Series II NA, I have this SSE SC 93 , I have driven a 98 SSEi and was shocked! Didn't, in no way, feel like my 93. THat car was POWERFUL! I couldn't even accelorate regularly like the 97 I had in that car without peeling!. The new SSEi, I haven't even been in it on the road with someone yet. I am pretty much confused I guess. Thats why I don't mind the opinions also. I'll be happy regardless. You said the front fascia on the 03 is different? I never notice that. How did I let that slip pass me?

Yea, im pretty sure on the 03 (04?) The fog lights got moved to the outside with a grill like opening between them and the license plate.
