Cost to rebuild a Series 1 L67
I was wondering how much it would cost to rebuild a Series 1 L67 back to stock and what would be necessary? Now that i have the new engine for my car, i might take my old engine and tear it down and if it isn't too bad, rebuild it for fun. Also, what performance upgrades would you suggest and cost for them if I were to rebuild the engine? Thank.

That depends a lot on what you wanna do
I figure doing a pretty good job and staying OEM you could get away with $1500 give or take. A lot of the price will depend on how many "while I'm in here" replacements you do. Get a sweet tooth for some performance and that'll skyrocket though

I have a junkyard motor that is going in the car (see bonneville christmas present.) I was asking because when I replace it, I will have my old engine which may just need new crank bearings. I won't know til I tear it down. If that is all it needs, I was considering rebuilding it, either stock, or slightly performance oriented. I will have to wait and see how it turn out before I decide though.
