Bought A 97 SE
It took me what seemed like forever, but I found another 97. It'* not an SSE, but I feel it was a good buy and I love it
Just a tad over 66,000 mi. I'll try to get pics up and add a signature soon.
Still have unlimited history reports available from consumer guide. If anyone would like one (or more), PM and I'll send.
I can make a decision. Rejoice!

The thermostat was replaced yesterday. Any way to tell if it'* a 180 short of calling him and asking? I knew he was replacing it and in my excitement forgot to request a 180. Live and learn!

It should be fine for the winter time, however, in the spring, spend the 6 bones and get a 180, help protect that upper intake manifold....make sure that oil is nice and clear, and the coolant levels are top notch
oh and enjoy the new car...and Congrats!!!

What You Need To Know!
An automotive thermostat is intended to allow engine warm-up before providing coolant flow. It does not guarantee a specific operating temperature. Rather, at a pre-determined coolant temperature, the thermostat will begin to open and then reach its fully open position at a slightly higher temperature. For example, a 108 degree F thermostat starts opening at 180 degrees and should be fully open at 200 degrees and does not cause the engine to operate at 180 degrees.
However, use of lower temperature thermostats does tend to lower an engine'* overall operational temperature, achieving cooler air/fuel charge temperatures and leading to increased power. Such thermostats also allow for improved engine tuning without encouraging problems of detonation, as in the case of Hypertech'* performance-enhancing PowerStats. By themselves, PowerStats help lower air/fuel charge temperature and boost power.
