well It is nothstar related sorta;...mafia the tranny database I'm looking at goes 95-05 and it says the 95 up /4.9 liter Caddy uses the 4T60E, same as non */C Bonnies, the */C bonnie uses the 4T65E, and the GXP uses the 4T80E tranny (so maybe same in earlier years?) If YOU find your tranny # then maybe it'* the same as one of our three. John ................ (Harofreak handed me a note and i stuck in my hat...(google is my best friend) and he'* right..........

Had a 92 Cadillac Sedan Deville in White with Red leather, lace wheels and I think those were the only options great car. Had boat loads of torque. That Deville has a 300ci. V8 which was the last V8 made before ever Cadillac car got the Northstar V8, your car has a 4T60 automatic. No parts you share with Bonneville'* as far as the engine is concered some transmission stuff, no engine stuff. The Caddy is a C-Body the Bonneville is a G/H-Body G is the eailer generation. They do have something in common but not the motor lol. I remember pushing mine to well over 90mph (I don't know cause the speedo only hit 85) then I traded in for my SLE. Good luck with her! I was sad that day because it was dads car only had a few problems but it was impractical for me and 91 gas isn't cheap, plus I do not have Caddy money nor am I old yet lol. My son and I will forever miss that car but forever love the Bonneville! Funny how that goes isn't it?

Don't think so from the time I talked to an old mechinc buddy of mine 4T60 is a hence hydra-matic hydrallically controlled (sp) and the 4T60E is electroincally controled hence the E.

But, since im planning on NOT selling the caddy, i figured that the bonnie is a little more expensive since its newer, but is it worth rebuilding the caddy tranny, in comparison to say another year of caddy ? and yes, torque on the cadillac makes bitches of imports. (even with a slippin 1st gear)
