KR vs KS
I was using my Actron 9145 scantool on my car (93 SE) the other day, and noticed that under KS i have a constant value of 4. It was the same if the car was cool, hot, under no load or WOT. I thought I read KS was a knock sensor value, but I'm not sure. I know Kr is knock retard. So, are they related and whats the difference?

KS is Knock Signal or the amount of signal coming from the knock sensor. A certain level of signal = a certain amount of noise in the channel. That is then translated to amount of knock retard needed.

Each count from the KS counter is one instance of knock. A certain number of counts in a certain amount of time determines the number of degrees of timing the PCM will pull to prevent further counts.

With your low (8.5:1) stock compression ratio, I'd be looking for the cause. You shouldn't have any.
Cracked exhaust manifolds, cylinder deposits, or bad plugs can all be causes. Poor EGR flow can be another, but you'd likely have a SES light if you had issues there.
Lean could be another contributor. Check your fuel pressure.

when I had the scanner hooked up, I did notice it ran lean more often than rich. When i get on gas, and then let off, it stays lean for probably 10 seconds after I let off. Fuel pressure I can check, but what about cylinder deposits? For my final question, is this going to cause significant damage if it takes me a while to fix?

My O2 readings say otherwise.
When I let off O2'* take a nosedive for the floor and it I come off a WOT run.. they literally sit at zero during decel mode.
