Default Older Cars Styling vs. Newer Cars

My silver '98 SE is starting to get a ton of miles on it, so I have been lookign at newer models, but I just can't seem to find many newer cars I like. I think the later years H-Body Bonneville is a pretty cool design. It'* classy with a sporty twist. It doesn't look cheap like so many newer models. So as much as I want a newer, more rattle, squeak, problem free car, new cars just don't appeal to me style wise as much, they look bulky and cartoonish. The 1990'* H-Body Bonneville and the '88-'96/97 W-Body GP GTP and Cutlass Supreme are also very attractive cars. Anyone else agree?

(A few newer cars I DO like are the '07 Lexus ES350, '04 Acura TL, '00-'02 Impala LS in navy blue, green or silver)

I especially like the slightly older GP'* compared to the newer ones. I'm torn between the Bonnevilles though. Sometimes the '96-'99 SE'*/SSEi'* look great compared to the 00-05'*. I really don't like the new SE'* cladding though. The GXP is my favorite of them all in the looks department.

Naturally,I'm more partial to the 96 - 99 body style but the 00+ is starting to grow on me

I used to agree with you. I couldn't stand the latest style bonneville. I like the look of the 95 style soooo much better But it has grown on me alot obiviously now that I own a GXP. But about the other cars they are definitely looking cheap to me the only ones that really appeal to me is the chargers/300'* I really dont like the G6'* the mazda 6/3 stuff like that granted its not the same level of cars that we own.

IMO, I like the older 89 SSE = and the style of my 01SSEi. I wasn't in love with the 92 SSEi we had - hated the strange front door windows. It was a good car, just hung up on the one design feature. If you get into a 00 - 05 Bonny, get the warranty and keep an eye out for the little things! Check the sticky at the top of diferent forums.

Newer cars all the way for me unless you go back to the 60'*. The only thing I don't care for with the newer ones are some of the interiors. The one thing that kind of turned me off on the Bonneville is the dark gray/black plastic everywhere. It'* a bit drab. I like the woodgrain look myself. But the dark plastic will be easier to keep looking clean.

I like the pre-gen GP better than the current gen. They are a dime a dozen, but they just have spectacular styling for what it is. The only exception would be the GP GXP which is freakin' hot.

I like the 90'* cars better than the new ones. 90'* was a good decade for Pontiacs.

Well, for Bonne'*, I prefer the 96-99 styling. The 00+'* look too much like the GA/GP mold...

But, if you want newer, the 00+ Buicvks got it right. Slightly sleeker style while maintaining the classic Buick look.

if they came out with a 95-99 bonneville gxp style, I think that would be hot. dont know what they would do to it but i know it would look awesome.
