I'm thinking of coming back guys...
Who knows if anyone remembers me, I was the proud owner of a white '87 LE, the "villian". I unfortunately sold that car, and went through many more until i settled on my current ride, a 1996 Oldsmobile Aurora, and joined our sister: AuroraClubNA.
I've been having more problems than the car is worth lately, and have wanted to jump back into the bonneville clan for quite some time. I've located two seemingly nice Bonneville SSE'* in my area, one blue one white, both with color matching wheels. The white one has grey cloth, the blue one has tan leather. Both have ~160k on them, and both are $800. I'll be looking at both of them hopefully this week.
I hope to be back with you all soon!

Transmission problems IIRC on his car, the 4T80E is a good machine, but if/when it starts to go, it can be a pain.
Certain Auroras are prone more problem then others, like anything I suppose.

Wow i'm not forgotten!
Yes, the aurora is dead. 3rd and 4th gear are completely gone. Unfortunately, i can not fund the project to fix and repair it, as i'd like to do it myself, and could if i had the time. But full time school and 35/week work doesn't really allow me the time to be without the vehicle. The problem now is finding the funding for the car, which might be tough.
I'm really leaning towards another bonneville, because the only other thing in my price range is a 1993 explorer, and there'* two problems with that. One: it'* a ford, and Two: it'* an explorer.
And yes, it is the two sse'* on craigslist.

Well I guess i came into a fortunate turn of events. The shift solenoids in my transmission were causing all my problems. that and a couple of the valve body bolts were loose. After fixing those couple minor things I was back in business. Total cost was only $100 and change, and it shifts like a brand new car!
I still want an 87-91 SSE though. Always have.
