Do these work?
Coil Spring Locks
I've been looking for ways to lower the bonneville, and i checked coilsprings.com, but i just can't bring myself to spend almost $300 to lower it at most 2".
One of my friends suggested cutting the springs, but i really didn't like that idea.
Then i found these, i'm guessing the ride will be stiffer. But is there anything else that can go wrong with these?

NO, to both the locks, and to cutting...
The locks will KILL your ride and add enormous stress to your suspension, and cutting a spring is just a quick way to destroy your car.
The spring will detemper, and unless properly retempered, it WILL break. It will also, again, destroy the ride of your car, and won't have the proper spring rates to keep your car from banging off the bumpstops on every piece of gravel you drive over....

is this for the blazer or the bonne?
and you can cut a spring. if you take your time and do it right. kind of an oxy-moron, but a half-assed drop, can be done "right".
if you put a set or two of vise grips on the spring where the cut will be, they will act as a heat sink. Cut slowly. only a small section and let it cool before you go further. and do not use water to cool. just air cool.
but overall, i would most recomend a set of new springs. bc when you cut springs, you not only change the tension, which affects performance of ur suspsion, but it also changes the way the spring seats.
