Ahhh them good ol' days. When Premium(leaded) Fuel was about 35 cents a gallon and that Bonneville got 12 mpg'* with the 389/325hp engine. Sheee-it! You could even order it with 4-on-the-floor. It would go like stink and stop.....well.....eventually.

With the Dodge Magnum w/Hemi, and the Bonneville with the N* now, I think the good ol' B-ville wagon is due for a return. I'd hit it ..... if they could price it competitively with the Magnum

The Magnum is AWESOME. I agree this would be the time to do it to compete w/ Dodge. But the Northstar ain't no Hemi!

Yes, but GM has the capabilities of making it very competitive with the Hemi. Especially if the 2006 STS is supposed to be SC'ed -who know'*, maybe they'll do a STW (instead of STS, doing it STW -W meaning Station Wagon, or what ever new term they come up with for these new wagons).

We are off to the ocean today in the new Bonneville. The trip is bringing back memories of when Dad and Mom would pile all of us kids in the 1959 Pontiac Station Wagon and head out to the ocean. That car could haul a lot of stuff and the family to the beach for a week. Unfortunately we are going for the day but hey it is a trip to the ocean

FYI....the Station Wagon pictured is from 1958('cept the wheels). But, YES, they could Haul a lot of stuff, and Haul A$$ as well.

My folks owned 81 & 85 Olds wagons... identical to the Pontiac Bonneville "Sarfari".

SIde notes....
Also my dad owned a 69 Impala... which at the time was identical to a Bonneville.

When they purchased the SSE back in 1991, neither of them had ever heard of a "Bonneville"..... yet they had 3 cars that were all but identical to it.
Funny eh
