May not be the right forum for this but it does fall under a "mechanical" problem. Dude next door has a 96 Bonneville (dosen't take very good care of it). He wanders over Saturday morning and asks if my Olds has the same motor as his rig. Yup, same motor I reply, whats up. Has a miss under load, just had a tune up a couple weeks ago. He took it back to the shop and they claimed all his injectors were bad. I suggested it was really odd for all of em to die at once. It was not throwing any codes either. A quick trip around the block and I verified the miss. He did not know when the wires had ever been changed so I figured I would look at those first. I noticed Bosch Platinums. Theres yur problem. I went thru the deal on Bosch plugs, told him to look up this website. He comes back over a few hours later, the tune up shop says there is no way the new plugs are causing the miss, they want to R&R the injectors @ $400+. I told to go get some Delcos and I would help him install them, if that didn't fix the problem,I would put the Bosch'* back in and buy the Delcos from him. 15 minutes later he crusin around the block, miss is gone. He put a couple hundred miles on it this weekend, still no miss. He was goin back to the shop today to raise a stink. He is now addicted to this site to research other issues he is having. He thanked me and I am passing it on to you guys since this is where I found my information.
