Default RX-7 Left in my Dust

Just came back from some trials with my new cone filter addition.

I cruised a few miles out of town down the two lane highway to a well known straight stretch and laid down some rubber in preparation for the 0-60 mph tests.
Pulled off 3 quick runs using my trusty stopwatch. No traffic in either direction.
After my last run, I looked in the rear view and noticed a car approaching fast. He must have noticed the smoke and was ready to battle.

After the straight the road goes into a combination of some twisties and small straights.
As the car drew closer I noticed it was really trying to set up for a pass. Not going to happen
The speed limit here is 80 kph. I looked at my speedo and it only indicated 70 so I sped up to 90. LOL I forgot I changed over from KPH to MPH for the test. That didn't matter though because he was starting to gain on me. As we got into the corners I held on tight and kept on driving hard then matting it on the straights. He stayed behind far enough that I could just make out the make of the car. It was rice. An RX-7. He was trying hard because he was taking the corners wide and I saw him fishtail once.
Did I say I hate rice.
He never did catch me.
I'm not sure if this qualifies as a kill but it sure felt good.

I am into withdrawel since I garaged my Firebird for the winter and just can't stay away from playing when the weather dries out for a day.

Did I say I love Pontiac'*.

What year RX-7 was it?

Not to knock your bonne or anything but the last gen turbo RX-7 that was exported to the US has a 255 HP rotary, weighed under 3000 lbs and had perfect 50/50 weight distribution.

It must have been an older RX-7 that was probably non-turbo. They only had around 150 hp or so and weighed about the same.

RX-7'* are HIGHLY respectible in my book. Very well made car and engine. I envy Mazda for that car...don't bash it too much.

Its not rice. It'* nice.

The new RX-8 will kick loads of ***.

255 hp from a NA 1.3 liter motor.

Just need to take one of those and stick it in a 3rd gen RX-7 chassis.

Ya, the RX-7 is the only Asian car that I respect. The rotary engines are so small, and produce so much power.

Good kill!

Yeah nice kill and I don't want to rag on you but the 3rd gen RX-7 is beautiful. The comment above about the RX-7 is the only nice rice, ouch man i have to disagree, the Supra and the Skyline also rank quite high in my books,

The old skylines are ugly though. But they are damn fast.

High HP but low torque and the tend to break very fast .
They are quick around 6k rpm and up . I like the 240sx and th Supra'* . I just wish the had more torque.
