Default Bonneville HIT!

Some dumbass semi driver was trying to take a michigan u-turn with me(2 lane u-turn) and he was trying to fit, driving back and forth, finally the guy said f*ck it and was close to hittin my car and he did he knicked me and made my car move forward while i was sitting still.

So i was all pissed and checked my car out at the next light and i thought he hit my back fender but it seemed fine so i wasnt so mad, and the semi just launches ahead of me and hauls *** outtta there.

Finally i arrive at my destination and come to check my car and realize theres a dent in my front right fender that is about the size of a small basketball and theres white paint/scratches on it.

Im pissed.

I got 2 quotes from different body shops and 1 said 500.00 for fix dent, corrion repair, paint, clear coat, labor, etc. and the other shop said 546.00.

Thats so expensive it seems just to fix a dented fender.

Does anyone know if those are ridicoulus prices? IS THERE cheaper route?????

If the metal isn't kinked you should be able to pop it out yourself, so long as the paint didn't crack. If it is then there will be painting involved so that price is about in line.

The paint is not cracked, or anything its just has some white paint scratches from the semi.

Would i take the dent out by going through the fender lining and hitting it with something?

If you can get to it from behind then try pushing it out. Otherwise they have those dent puller kits that might be able to pull it out. If you must hit it, I suggest a rubber hammer.

Try the dent wizard first. If you smack it from the back side with anything, you can stretch the metal if you are not careful and then the paint will crack. I pulled a dent out of a motorcycle gas tank with the dent wizard. It took a few tries, but it did work.

Sorry to hear about the dent. Double sorry you didn't get the idiot truckers name and insurance carrier and have them pay for it.
