Default Window Stickers?

Just a question, has anyone found a copy of their vehical window sticker located under a seat or in a door panel or do GM still do that?

Just curious.

Or is that what the RPO is for.

Some cars still have that, as for the owners stil having it...heh, crapshoot, but, its still required because customers dont understand RPO codes.

The RPO indicates the factory installed options but the window sticker indicates both factory and dealer installed options. I've never seen an RPO code for floor mats but it is displayed on the window sticker.

I never found any buildsheet in my cars....
But I have a friend that works for GM... I asked him nicely one day and he printed off both my cars buildsheets.

When I bought my 93 I noticed a rolled up piece of paper in the trunk lid support braces. I fished it out and unrolled it and low and be-hold it was the original manifest (build sheet as you guys call it)!!! It was 10.5 years old at the time and still had the tractor feed edges from the old style printer! I rolled it back up and tucked it back in the braces.

I have found nothing for the 99 as of yet. I'm assuming I never will either as it was a GM program car before we bought it.

I have no clue what this was, but I took it off, since it was falling off. Underneath my dash panel, there was this small sheet of paper [1x 5" or so] with a lot of dried up lettering. All I could make out was 1989 Pontiac Bonneville SSE, however it looks like there is more. I put it in a ziploc bag, and one day, i'm going to buy a frame for it, and frame it in my room .

Does the car leave the factory with the window sticker attached, or is the window sticker something the dealer generates and attaches to the car while preping it? Seems to me when the car is being assembled in the factory, they probably don't know what options the dealer intends to add, maybe they don't even know which dealer might end up with this car.

So does this mean when the dealer gets the car, they have some sort of "window sticker generator"?
