They aren't orphans! You get a lotta more headroom for power, and they have all factory GM parts, and will be serviced by any GM dealer as well as they would by the dying Olds... Why didn't they kill buick off anyways....

From what I understand GM made a huge stockpile of parts for Oldsmobiles. So there shouldnt be any issues about getting parts 10 yrs later.

Ok we have the 3800 and it is in WAY to many cars to stop it (if not making a better engine) if they killed off buick. I think the aurora 4.0 could have some big potential in it, although is that engine specific to just the Aurora!??! They always seemed kinda neat to me.

GM does this with any car, and all of the olds cars (save the aurora) are built off of platforms that already existed, IE Alero=GA, Intrigue=GP etc. Parts shoudn't be an issue, but yeah GM keeps parts for all cars for a while.
