I was really looking forward to GM'* release of the Supercharged 4.4 L V8 in a Rear Wheel drive platform.
What a disappointment. 13.8 @ 101 mph :(
Sure the new STS-V Caddy is one Pretty Hot and Tempting auto but it'* performance figures reflect just how fat and inefficient it really is ......especially compared to the new Chrysler products.......and some of our modded Bonne'*.
....with reference to the Feb/05 Car & Driver mag tests. Geez that mag sure is a fan of Chryslers !!

Ew, not impressive. That'* quick still, but with 440HP, it can do better. I wonder if all that traction control and torque managment the N* '* have is holding it back? That and the fact that it weighs 2 tons.

yes that car is prolly a beaten test mule, that has been pushed over and over again. Everyone remember in 93 when the 93 SSEI came in at 15.9 or something like that as tested by C&D
I wont believe the numbers untill someone that actually "real world" tests the engine/car

just think though, you drop one pulley size on that thing and you get like +50hp!
I bet it is some stupid TQ management holding it back. It could be they did a burnout before and that caused it to pull all the timing.
Remember our cars weigh just a little under two tons.

Those are estimated numbers. I'm sure it will be much quicker than that. Just think the 330hp STS in NA form runs mid 14s. The new STS spec V with the */C engine is mated to GM'* all new 6 speed auto. I guarentee when its tested it'll run low 13s. As for C&D is concerned, they like the new trends. Chrysler always have the new trends. Thats their little scam. Remember when the Intrepids and Visions came out in 1993? They where the next best thing with that cab foreward and ya Auto Stick. You know the most ADVANCED automatic trannsmission- C&D 1993. bwahahahahaha We all know the truth about that. Not to mention the thousands of people that bought them and have spent $4K on up replacing that advanced transmission. I guarentee the Hemi will be the same bulls**t. In five to ten years those engines will be dropping like flies. Trust me, do not give in to their scams. I did and I got screwed.
