Does anyone know on a 92 sse supercharged engine code 1 how many bolts it is on the flywheel

me runs out to his trunk to find his extra flywheel... BRB

Oh yea, and on the flywheel on bolt hole is oval, I dont know if this like a scribe mark or something but I put my series 1 sc flywheel on my series 2 sc motor and everything works fine. If you are doing a crank kit I wiill be really hard unbolting those flywheel bolts while the engine and tranny are bolted together, I recommend you putting an engine brace to the engine taking the front mount off and unbolting the engine from the tranny so you can get a wrench up there, and if you have access to the ratchetting wrenches use them. Also GM recommends you use new flywheel bols, I didnt but I put red locktite on them. You need to torque them 11lbs + 50degree.

I imagine they recommend using new bolts for the same reason that most use new head bolts when replacing/servicing heads. Because of the danger of shearing the bolt in two. Then you'll have to drill and tap the hole in the block (for the heads) in the back plate (for this instance), which is a real PITA. Or have to get new parts.

You can usually get away with it if the bolts are fairly new anyway.
