i guess my gripe would be the power steering whine like fords have. everyone ive herd 90-99 has this whine. also on the cup holder issue there even more dumb to put the trunk release button right there where all the sticky pop can get in there. other than that my 98 se is the best car ive ever owned and hope to keep it

Big pain in the arse to change back three plugs & wires, unless I'm missing something to make it easier.

Remove the rear engine lift bracket.

Hmmm...biggest gripe. How about:
  • power window regulators
  • power window motors
  • front motor mount
  • wheel speed sensors
  • fuel level sending unit
  • oil pressure sensor
  • transmission PCC
  • sunroof water leaks
  • door water leaks
  • trunk water leaks
  • shorted out seat heaters
  • rear shock upper mounts
  • boost control solenoid
  • sunroof wind deflector
  • crank shaft position sensor
  • intermediate steering shaft
  • leaking LIM gasket
  • wiper motor
Gripes? No. Nothing comes to mind.

This is on my 1980 Bonneville. NUMBER 1 problem is landua tops. They hold water then rust really badly. Stronger headbolts and water separator should have been added. Power windows use plastic tape/ribbon. Weak door pins. Using dummy lights. Wheel covers. Not using an aluminum driveshaft. No rear disk brakes. No overdrive trans with lower gears in the rear axle. No cup holders. No bucket seats. Drip rail. Hood ornament.

Some of those probably weren't available back in the day.

98 SSEi and I don't have any real gripes except maybe the radio and ECC should have traded places on the dash. I'm used to having the radio up higher so you can still see out the windshield when you're changing stations. I need to switch to a radio that supports the steering wheel controls...

I dont drink anything small enough to come in can size so the cupholders are just something extra to clean, and boy can they get nasty LOL
