I just got my 04 SLE on 11 July, and noticed something just didn't look right about the passenger side chrome rims.
This is not my car just an example:
Passengers side blades slant backwards (looks weird)
Drivers Side Blades slant forward (looks right)
But I looked at alot of 04 SLEs with the same rims and all the cars were the same as mine, I guess that'* the way they;re suppose to be, just looks weird to me.
Other than that I love the car so far.

Ever try cleaning the back window?? What in the heck were these thinking?? What!! that everyone is skinny with small hands the thing is a royal pain-in-the-arse. The most troubling feature on Bonnies is the dumb front end design with the trans-axle, those shock-strut arrangements are out of control..Last but not least is the useless plastic interior trim panels, you would think with the Bonneville being the flagship of the Pontiac fleet that they could have come up with nicer interior appointments!!

In comparison the cupholders are awesome. A Regal cupholder..well..99% of every one ever produced is broken and useless. Imagine a car w/o a cupholder and a big hole where the cupholder door should be. $130 is what it costs to replace it. Overall I take my soda off the door before I get out of the Bonnie. I like having three cupholders in the front.
Lack of updated items until 2K. Wipers are slower than 102 year old granny, lights are dim,
There'* many things I love about the Bonne and there'* many things I dislike.

My biggest peeve is the overall quality and fitment for a $40,000 Sedan. My body panels have come undone in various places. They don't fit well in places. The airdam for the moonroof was missing when I bought it new and a damaged pin caused the replacement to hang up and be shattered when I closed it. The trunk access door has exploded twice into pieces. Foglights blowing out. IM shaft clunking. Quirky DIC alerts. It'* alot of little things that shouldnt happen with a Sedan in it'* class. And I have one of the, it seems, rare Northstars that dont leak here and there. I love the look and feel of my Bonne, but GM lack of quality over recent years really shows through in the GXP.

92-99 side view mirrors
The biggest gripe for me is the 92-99 side view mirrors mounting. Where there mounted.
2000 and newer got it right for the side view mirrors. Looks a lot better.
When I see a 92-99 and there side view mirrors, it reminds me of the mid 90'* Impala SS and the Caprice Classic of the same year and how guys will clone the Caprice to a SS and not change out the doors. Lame!
I guess if you don't know those two cars you wont know what I mean.

Other than the steering shaft/leaking intakes, really my only beef I can think of off hand are the cheap lugnut covers. The dealer gave me a couple extras when I bought the car three years ago. I've gone through those two, lost another one besides, and I've got one or two more than are cracked but thankfully haven't fallen off. And how anyone in their right mind can justify $5 each for a $.25 part is beyond me.
Oops, I just thought of another, the checking (surface cracks where you can see white underneath) leather on the driver'* seat. But then with the constant abuse, it'* probably normal for any leather seat.

00+ plastic pullys in the engine accessory set up. I had to replace 3 already cuz the bearings locked up and the dumb things melted off. RETARDS
