Default Added new switch for my intercooler pump

Well, I finally decided to add a switch to my intercooler pump. I had it wired up to be on when my ignition is on. This seemed like a great idea at the time. However, I'm always doing something in the car, like tuning. And having the IC pump running all the time was a pain. So I decided I'll use my fog light circuit. It has a switch, no problem. Just need to get around the circuit shutting off when the high beams are on. Again, no problem, jumped the relay and all was great in the world. I was driving around and noticed my IC temp gauge was about 112*, that'* odd, should be between 95 and 105. Then I noticed that I didn't hear the pump running. Dang, I never thought about the day time running lights. They shut off during the day. No IC pump. Manually turned on the headlights and the pump came on, the temp dropped. Dang, now I can't see my HUD as it goes dim at night. Can't win. So scrapped that whole idea.

Fast forward to now. I picked up 2 switches. One for the IC pump, the other will be for the wheel spin sensor. That way I can shut down the torque management with the flip of a switch at the race track.

Popped out the center console.

Drilled out two holes and put in the switches.

Gives a nice clean look.

I went with the LED switches so I know when that device is on.

I'm happy with how it turned out. And it didn't even take all that long.

Header tick with Togs? You probably need the flex replaced. I've never heard of anyone having any issues with Togs other than needing to replace the flex.

I like the LED'*.

Here'* how mine was done. Center led switch is for the intercooler, momentary button on d/* is the electric WP turn off and button on the p/* is the Wheel Speed Sensor interuption. Put these in at various times. Felt that I wanted the IC/WP switches from the start for tuning etc. There'* no need to draw those types of amps when the engine isn't running.

What did you do for fuses Dan? I used the spare fuse locations in the Maxifuse center and have been wondering how you did yours.
