Tip for better gas mileage
I thought I would pass along a tip for getting better mileage. It'* a pretty obvious one, but not everyone realizes it. Use your cruise control as much as possible. This will keep the throttle at an even level. Even try using it in city driving when possible. I've found for example that my wife has this habit of hitting the gas slightly, then letting off briefly, then hitting the gas, etc. It'* very slight, but just noticable. She didn't even realize she was doing it until I noticed it one day a few years ago. It explained why our Mountaineer seems to get a little better gas mileage when I drive it.

Yeah they does help out. Wish mine worked :(
also if you arnt useing the cruse, dont try to hold a stedy speed up a hill, Let it drop 1-3 mph slowly,
I can almost drive my car like it has CC when i want to, most of the time i have a led foot, that has a magnet on it and it get pulled to my firewall....

As long as you know when your car is in TC lockup and how to keep it in lockup with your foot, that will have the same effect as using CC.

Mileage, hehhehhHAHAHAHAHhheeheh....whats that?
Other things to consider, changing fuel filter, air filter, front 02 sensor, cleaning MAF sensor, FI cleaner. All these things come into play when trying to get the best MPG possible.

Good coat of wax helps keep the car aerodynamic. Dust, and dirt has air resistance.

Steal his car ^^^
Driving i've found I can keep a slightly lower rpm then cruise? The trick is to go a little faster on downhills, and not accelerate as much on the uphills as mentioned. There'* a few 35- 40 MPH hills in town that are fairly large, and my goal is to be going up @ 40 chugging @ 1500 RPM as much as possible...

I have a tip that could save you tons and tons of money.
Start walking.
But on a 400 mile trip, I pulled in 35.3 mpg in my car that'* with the bra on and driving at speeds of 65-74 mph but mostly at 70 on cruise control. That'* with just a gutted airbox and a KN filter. I love this car!!!!!
