Default 4T65 Transmission (miles before rebuild)

I'm aiming for a comprehensive idea of how many miles on your 4T65 (97 and up supercharged motor, 98 and up all motors) tranmission lasted before it died or you rebuilt it.

The purpose of this thread is not to talk about the 4T60 vs the 4T65 or how much power blah blah blah. It is aiming only to ask
Year and model of car
Mileage at time of rebuilt
Did the trans die or did you rebuild
What reason was behind the rebuild (bad solenoid/fragged/sloppy)

If there are other items such as a pcm with less torque management or a limited slip diff, raced every weekend please mention them as well.

Thank you in advance for not making this a chat or debate thread. It is for the purpose of collecting some good information on the mileage of the transmission before problems.

My transmission:
1997 SSEi
176,XXX miles
Chose to rebuild.
Wanted to put more power through it that it was going to hold. Mods at time of rebuild were pulley, FWI, shaved TB, and headers.

Thank you for the link. However I'm looking to leave that one in the past. It didn't include a 4T65 category over 100K and is old at this point. Now we've had more 00+ folks with bad soleniods/trans as well as the 97-99'* being rebuilt.

There is failure data relevant to your post. You asked for MILES before failure. Anyone in that topic that made it over 100k posted their miles.

That is VERY relevant data based on the way you worded your request.

4th gear input shaft spline wear was bad, clutching was burnt, cause of death: It was shifting to softly.

Old 99 SE..

Started getting sloppy around 135K. Was able to nurse it along to 177K when we finally sold it.

Never modded, never raced, but did a fair amount of towing with it. Never serviced either other than dropping the pan around ~140K for a partial fluid change.

93 SE - shifted great when we sold it at 180K in 04.

Mine made it to 86,xxx miles
Rebuiilt, then made it about 1000 miles
Warranty, then made it about 200 miles
Warranty, never got any better
Now ive gone about 2500 miles on a POS.
Talking to a few trany shops around town, the 4T65 seems to be FAR more prone to failure, but hey, they're just transmission shops, like the one I work in, what do they know?
Give me a 4T60 ANYDAY over that shitty 4T65
