ok i bought some "lazer blue" hi beams.... not blue at all, just white instead of yellow. my dad and pal also tried out some other "blue" headlights and they didnt work... how do i obtains TRUE BLUE from a distance briaght as hell hi/low/fog lights??? are they like really expensive? i payed $25 for two high beams.

Blue headlights, along with most 'aftermarket' bulbs are illegal. The blue coating is an optical filter, designed to filter out the yellow wavelengths of light, leaving a pure white.

Try Sylvania Silver Stars next time. They're street legal.

im talking about the "blue from a distance" look like you see on the new BMWs or BENZs....

Only way to really get that look is HID.....

Other then that SilverStars are your best bet.... I love mine

Because they can be distracting to other drivers. The other problem is that some of the illegal lights don't put out the minimum amount of illumination the NHTSA requires for safe night driving.

i will let the cat out of the bag... the brand "Nokya" makes lights that are VERY blue... shhhhh dont tell...

thats stupid if it distracts other drivers isnt that sort of there problem? besides i can think of about a million things that distract me more then some blue lights (most of which you can find on any ricer)
