TEN things i hate about my Bonne (ATLEAST TEN)!!
Okay maybe hate is too strong a word . . .
OH My dear Bonne how i dislike you with a somewhat tongue-in-cheek passion!
oh let me count the ways:
1 - i can't do donuts in the snow! :?
2 - It'* not rear wheel drive (so i can't do donuts in the snow)
3 - that stupid "Service Theft System" (STS) indication every cold morning
4 - the wasted horsepower - because it is not rear wheel drive
5 - the wasted horsepower due to torque steer - because it is not rear wheel drive
6 - the fact that the local dealers could not fix that stupid STS and now i can't let them try because they will reset my AWESOME INTENSE programmed PCM
7 - the stock goodyear tires, which are supposed to be "SO GOOD" after all they are Goodyear'*, that will not "STICK" to the pavement - because it'* not RWD :?
8 - the fact that i have to "pull" a fuse to do any type of slipping and sliding because the traction control/ABS kicks in :(
9 - the problem of not being able to spend under $50 at SUMMIT racing to get a decent set of traction bars for that little extra "stick" - because my Bonne is not rear wheel drive!
and last but not least . . .
10 - although i have just about every other option - i don't have heated seats and when i am sitting there fuming about how that stupid "Service theft system" light comes on every cold morning and the dealer can't fix it, i get even madder because even after i reset the indication and my car (and behind) warms up i still will not be able to do donuts in the freshly fallen snow BECAUSE (everyone join in here) -

Certified Car Nut
The transmission/Drivetrain configuration is why this will never be my play car... Sadly it'll turn into a beater when I get out of school and start looking for V8 that turns the correct wheels, where I shift my own gears.
Although that'll wait till I have a garage to keep it happy in So until then....

Do you guys with 2k+ Bonnies have the same e-brake setup that the 92-99 had?
If so, you still can't do donuts, but you CAN do some awesome power slides.
Just pump the e-brake to engage it while turning, step on it again and hold it down until you are very sideways, then countersteer and release the e-brake to straighten out.
Once you have the technique down you can get 3 or 4 tail-outs in a row without losing control.
And can't you just turn off the TC?
