DENTED!!!
Well today I had my first (and hopefully last) body damage to the Bonneville.
It all happened while parallel parking. It was early in the morning, before the sun was up, and I was trying to squeeze into a tight parking spot--a manuever I had done probably a thousand times before. The space was pretty tight, so it took a couple tries to get it close enough to the curb. I didn't hear any noise or feel any obstruction so I unknowingly got out and made my way to my office. Once lunch time came around a friend and I walked to my car only to notice that the driver'* side of the front bumper in front of the wheel well was dented in.
Luckily, the damage was only cosmetic, and not very serious. It only affected the plastic bumper cover, and no metal or the headlight was touched. Still, there is a small scratch and a little nick where the paint is removed (about a 1/8" square). I'm sure the bumper cover will pop right out when I get time to do it, probably this weekend, but it still is killing me knowing that there is a big dent in my bumper!! I can't stand it; I'm so mad at myself today.
Anyway, I don't have any pics as of now but will be sure to post some most likely tomorrow. I also wanted to know if anyone had had a similar incident with the bumper cover pushed in and how hard it was to pop it out. It looks to me that I could do it through the engine compartment or at the very worst remove the inside of the wheel well, but I haven't had time to really look at it today. Hopefully it will not be too hard to do, but I'm still gonna need to paint it eventually. I mean, the damage is only superficial, but I have a few other little nicks from long distance driving (rocks, bugs, etc.) so I plan on getiting it painted within the year.
Oh well, lessons learned I guess...
Thanks for letting me vent guys! I'll have some pics of the damage tomorrow.

That sucks! I'm surprised you didn't hear anything. Hopefully it will just pop right out for you. Definately get the paint taken care of. You have a nice looking ride and a dent just stands out like a sore thumb.
When I was younger they were called whiskey dents.
Looking forward to seeing the pics.
