Default Got it running...not. *Update* *EPIC FAILURE*

Well after a ****-ton of hard work, franky is running agian.

Didnt take any pics this time, was too cold out.

So to sum it up.
This is engine #4 in the car, it now has 1.9 rockers, 105# springs, headers, 98+ throttle body, 3.2 pulley. Right now it has a no-name brand 255lph fuel pump in it that i dont trust but it works, a walbro is in the mail as i type this tho so that will put my mind at ease once that comes.

The list of engines:

1- Factory LN3, Randy decided it was too gutless and pulled it (I dont blame him at all. )
2- L67 Out of a wrecked 97 SSEI 140k, was in damn good shape, fuel pump failed at wot and caused a uber lean condition, and piston went boom.
3- L67 From Crap-*** junkyard in ohio, out of a 97 SSEI with 83k. Didnt really trust the engine once I tore into it, LIM gaskets failing and someone definately was inside the engine before, the freeze plugs were replaced with ones that were not Factory GM. And there was evidence that it had been overheated at some point, discolored rockers and the head surface had burnt on oil the heads. Fears were confirmed when engine was running after a while it was ticking at all times, and blew up about 2000mi later. Shot piston, expected it, engine never did run right.
4- L67 From Ed Morad, out of a 97 RIviera with 110k, Looks great inside, had some minor carbon buildup in the heads and on the pistons, cleaned up and reassembled, Runs EXCELLENT so far. No problems seen or expected with this one. (yay *crosses fingers*)

This is great to hear! Get a heated garage and take some pictures! I'm a big fan of this car. It'* really cool. That 3.2" pulley size is pretty scary.

Dude, that thing was faster than a GTP, easily, when I drove it on L67 #1. With mods, well, I want another drive to render an opinion...

so..... its not running so nice anymore lol

I was driving along minding my own business, and started going up a hill and about halfway up the car started misfiring (i wasnt even in the boost) had to drop it into 2nd to make it up the hill to turn off. Came to a stop with it seriously misfiring and the SES light flashing like a christmas tree. Called for a tow, left it off. After about 15min started it and it ran perfectly fine with no issues, still had it towed for peace of mind.

Fast forward a few hours.... Got the autotap out and threw in new spark plugs to be safe and went on a drive. Stabbed the throttle a few times and saw no kr (btw this drive was the first time i ever floored it on this engine, everything else has been about 1/2 to be easy on it for a little while) so i saw no kr and decided to floor it to see what was going on, floored it, broke em loose again, caught traction and got to the top of 2nd then it got a little bit of kr (0.6*) let off and tried again and saw 3*, repeat this time i saw 3.5 and it made this nasty noise like when you try to start an engine and its already running, and the kr shot to 11*, obviously i let off right away. Slowly got back into a little throttle and everything was fine, came to a redlight and as soon as the engine went under 1500rpm this NASTY rattling started and the kr went to 11-13, revved and it went right away. So im thinking the supercharger coupler went or a bearing went in the blower.

Anywho, my walbro came in today. im gonna throw that in when i get a chance, and find another blower on the cheap. (i dont like the condition this one is in)

This is terrible. Did you try running without the supercharger belt to see what would happen?

another update:

Not the blower: pulley still has the itty bitty bit of play its always had and it spins freely with no binding or noises

Harmonic balancer is fine.... all the other pullies are fine.

What do you guys think the chances of the flywheel going are?

Quick Reply: Got it running...not. *Update* *EPIC FAILURE*
