Default Antenna Noise...

How can I quiet the electronic Antenna, Or not make it Automaticcaly go up and down I have a pioneer CD player and everytime I change CDs the antenna goes down.. and its really annoying

I heard that foreign cars don't have that problem, only American cars. You may want to switch.

LMAO !!!

Well.. look at the instruction for your deck. They all have a power antenna line that SHOULD be full time power as long as the head unit is turned on.

when I had a pioneer deck it did the same thing. i switched from cd to radio before i ejected the cd. just a habit to get used to

Actually the real solution here would be to keep the antenna _down_ when you're not using the tuner, wouldn't it? I wish they'd design it that way.

wire up a switch in series with the remote to the antenna. Voila, the antenna only turns on when you want it on.

my antenna was up all the time - whether radio or cd
i just figured to switch to the radio to keep it from going down and coming back up when a different cd was put in.

Your head unit was designed by Pioneer in such a fashion to make it do that. Check the stereo manual to see if there is a way to change the way the antenna works.

Yup. If you have a pioneer cd player, switch to radio first before ejecting the cd. it'll stop it from putting the antennae down and shutting off the radio.
